Jamie Escruceria was born in
Brooklyn, New York in 1962. She graduated Cum Laude,
with honors, from the University of Florida in 1984 with her
B.A. in Education.
In 1988 Jamie managed her first
medical practice, and in 1992 became a Claims Adjuster for a
national auto insurance carrier. While there, Jamie used her
knowledge of medicine and medical billing to excel in the PIP
Unit, specializing in coverage issues, identifying fraudulent
claims, and working closely with the Department of Insurance
Fraud. Her work allowed her to develop close relationships
with physicians and attorneys.
In 1996 Jamie transferred to the
Casualty Unit, where she negotiated and settled Bodily Injury
and Uninsured Motorist claims. She managed a variety of
insurance claims from minor impact car crashes to large losses
including files in litigation.
In 2001 she launched a company to
assist Consumer Justice attorneys in investigation and
evaluation of their client’s cases, and joined Lawlor, Winston
& Justice, P.A. in 2007 as Case Manager/Claims Adjuster.
Jamie uses her medical background and claims knowledge to
achieve the best possible resolution of our client’s claims
